It has been one year since Carol passed away and it's been an amazing day. All morning I dug dusty boxes of china out of storage to take to my new home. It's been quite a year...I'm beginning a new life of my own. Me and Bob then did yard work, clearing away old broken bricks, moving pots, planting grass. We've been "celebrating" Mommies passing in our own quite way.
Yesterday we finally got the results back from Carol's autopsy. She definitely had Alzheimer's disease...they did not find evidence of Lewy Bodies disease. We're pleased to have closure. We also take pride in the fact that Carol's donation has helped research move closer to an end to this sadness.
While taking a break from the day outside, I received an amazing email. Weeks ago I stumbled upon a To Do List Blog. I emailed the publisher something I fould that Carol wrote. Today she emailed me back and told me that not only did she like her list but that she may be interested in including it in an upcoming book of To Do lists! Amazing.
Thanks to all that have been there in the past, are here in the present and to those who will come in the future. More posts coming soon...wellness info, herbs, prevention and hope.

As I sit here searching through things on my computer this night, I found this web page that you made for our dear Carol... I am your Dad's cousin and I live in Washington State... How I miss all of my California family and what a wonderful surprise to stumble on to this as I was unable to open it when Carol first passed away... I have DSL now (finally) and so enjoyed the photos and memories...
Give my cousin Bob a big hug and tell him I miss his emails!!! Your Mom was such a special person and her beautiful smile lives on in my heart...
