This is a memorial for my Mother Carol Merchant. After taking care of her for many years, she died of Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2005.

I'm a bit of a postmodern acupuncturist. My undergrad work was in film and literary theory, my Masters was in traditional Chinese medicine and I've been slowly putting together the pieces to pursue a PhD in Media Psychology. I'm interested in exploring how light, sound and story effect the mind/body from a physiological point of view, and plan to frame it all within the context of Chinese medical theory. This site is a tool I am using to organize my research and reach out to like-minded researchers, practitioners, etc.
